There is a common saying, "it's not the destination, it's the journey", and what an incredible journey it has been! Our guide was Daniel Ponce who was the perfect host during our all inclusive tour of Sintra. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, informative, fun, with incredible infectious energy. Our driver Antonio Almeida was also incredible taking us from our hotel to our meeting point with Daniel and eventually back to our hotel. Our Tuk Tuk Tour was fully customized based on our interest. He took incredible photos of us throughout the day and let us enjoy the breathtaking views of Pena Palace & Quinta da Regaleira. We never felt rushed and Daniel was super accommodating. He answered all our questions about the history of the palace, the cultural significance of monuments and religious ceremonies. We practically skipped all the long lines & were fully present in the moment. Even better, we had an absolutely delicious meal at a family owned restaurant that I will always remember. This was a great tour, and Daniel deserves all the credit. He had fantastic energy, was genuinely funny, and made sure we understood the full history behind every place we visited, giving us a far more elevated experience than we would have had on our own. What really stood out was how personal and comfortable he made the whole experience feel. He took the time to get to know us and tailored the experience to how we actually wanted to see and enjoy things rather than sticking to a one size fits all script. He was also incredibly patient with us throughout the day, and he personally took our photos, knowing exactly where to stand and what angles would get us the best shots at every stop. Our driver Antonio also made a big impression. He picked us up in Lisbon, drove us to meet Daniel, and brought us back to our hotel in Lisbon afterward. He was warm, friendly, and punctual, and the ride itself was a memorable part of the day in its own right. I highly recommend using this tour service rather than exploring these sites by yourself. You'll get a much deeper sense of the history, skip to the front of the queues, get great photos, and just have a better overall experience with someone who knows exactly what they're seeing, what they're doing, and the best places and food to check out along the way. The tuk tuk ride was a blast, and the sites themselves were beautiful. This was one of the most memorable experiences of our whole trip to Portugal. Highly recommend!

Claudia was a very knowledgeable young lady who gave us a wonderful time on our full day tour of Sintra. The contact with the Yes you Deserve team was excellent throughout the process of deciding what we would do for the day. I was a little taken aback with price 700 euro for 3 of us on a private all day NON inclusive tour, except tickets for Quinta do Regaleira. Walked through Sintra, stopped at a bakery while our guide filled us in on local history. Regaleira was amazing and our guide made the tour memorable with his research based opinions. The only caveat was that we didn’t get to tour the gardens!! When I asked the guide why,  he said we didn’t have the time based on our itinerary, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement but I assumed that the itinerary would be awesome and make up for it- I was wrong, we ended up driving around his hometown which although attractive was really of no interest to us and we would’ve been much better served spending that time in the gardens instead- big disappointment. The next disappointment was the wine tasting in Colares, the owner was with other people so no knowledge from the owner for us and the wine itself was absolutely awful! Our guide told us that he must have pored us newer wines, we couldn’t drink them, they were that bad and still got charged an additional 24 euro per person for the wine tasting- not impressive. Was our guide knowledgeable? Absolutely! Was the 748 Euro worth it? For us the answer would be a No, particularly when we compare it to other guided trips we did while in Portugal.

We have done so many tours all over - Italy, Amsterdam, Hawaii, etc., and this was our favorite ever. We cannot believe how much we saw and experienced. Everything was so beautiful, and it was the perfect balance of walking/hiking and riding in the tuktuk. The wine tasting and lunch were delicious, and it was an awesome way to relax in the middle of our adventures! Vera was so knowledgable. Also, she was so kind, warm, and friendly. We engaged YYD for a full-day tour on 6th Apr 2025. My group had a really good time with Leandro as our guide. YYD shows their professionalism from the time I ask about their service until the tour ends for the day. Despite bad weather (rain & fog), Leandro made extra effort to turn things around to be well. Leandro also expert to take our photos to come out beautiful. He took care of us during the tour very well and feel treated like VIPs 🙂 I'm happy to rate full marks (10/10)..

Daniel was absolutely brilliant from the very first time we got in contact with him months before our visit to Portugal. He helped us plan the perfect day and even came to personally greet us on the morning of the tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. We truly had an unforgettable experience in Sintra. Pedro, our guide, was outstanding in every way - informative, caring, professional, and incredibly passionate about sharing the beauty and history of the area. He also was an outstanding photographer who helped us capture our visit throughout the day. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better. We had the best day with Gustavo! He was knowledgeable and super relaxed and willing to answer all of our questions about the area and growing up in Portugal. Quinta de Regaleira was amazing and we enjoyed seeing the other castles as well for photos. The lunch was delicious (as you can see from the picture). It’s hard to find the words to describe our day with Pedro. Magical! We did the all inclusive tour and it was perfect for our group of six. Daniel had great perspectives helping us plan our itinerary (so glad to have his insight). The day of our tour we were transferred by private van and met Pedro to take the Tuk tuk on our adventure. We learned so much and explored Sintra (we did landmarks from outside, Quinta da Regaleira, costal views and ended in Cascais). We had a wonderful authentic Portuguese lunch. Pedro was an amazing guide and like an old friend. If you want to explore Sintra, Yes, You Deserve is the best choice!

I have never booked a private tour but knew it would make our trip to Sintra much more memorable. The day far exceeded everyone’s expectations. It was a cool, rainy morning when we met Victor but he was so warm and inviting the weather didn’t matter. Even a rainy first half of the tour was magical. We chose to visit Quinta da Regaleira, and the coastline with him and he was so knowledgable about anything we asked. The traditional Portuguese restaurant he chose for us was one of the best meals of our entire holiday. He truly seemed to understand what we wanted out of the day and went above and beyond to make it the best experience possible. It is one of the favorite memories of our trip. Everyone says Sintra is in the details, the feelings, and Victor showed us how to really get to know it. Thank you, Victor, it was an unforgettable day.

There aren’t enough words to describe what an amazing experience we had with Daniel at Yes, You Deserve on a private Tuk Tuk tour of Sintra and nearby towns.   He picked us up promptly in front of our hotel at 9AM and spent the next 8 hours driving us all around, entertaining us with countless historical facts and fascinating philosophies!   He also took over 80 photos of our family along the way allowing us to enjoy each moment and still have the memories.  We were able to enjoy an in depth visit at Quinta da Regaleira and then visited many other palaces and local sights.  Daniel took us to a small family-owned restaurant with authentic Portuguese cuisine, and even our pickiest eater loved the food.   Daniel was entertaining with insane storytelling skills, and was enjoyable to be around.  All three of our teenagers, usually the toughest critics, had a really fun time.  We highly recommend if you want a more personalized experience and a better understanding of the history of Sintra and of the Portuguese culture!!

He made it fun for everyone and even changed the itinerary on a dime given the circumstances. It was a fantastic day full of history and clever anecdotes about the sites we were visiting. What a day we had today with Daniel Ponce! We customized a tour with Daniel and saw Sintra, Azenhaus do Mar, Cabo da Roca, Furnas do Guincho, Boca de Inferno and Cascais. We also had the most amazing lunch at a local restaurant. This tour was the highlight of our trip, so informative and SO MUCH FUN. The many breathtaking sights that Daniel showed us while explaining the history made for an unforgettable day. So many special sights today (one after the other) and suggestions for us after the tour as well. This is a day we will talk about for years to come. And the photos Daniel took and provided us are the best. My family has been talking about the tour nonstop. If you are thinking of a tour of Sintra and/or Cascais, you cannot go wrong here!

We had a wonderful day from start to finish touring Sintra with Daniel. He is extremely knowledgeable, but didn’t overwhelm us with information. He’s fun and tailored our adventure even while we were on it. He took awesome photos of us at each site. Did the All Inclusive which made our day stress free. The transfer from Lisbon was on time and professional. Daniel took us to a local restaurant for lunch where we savored Puri-Puri Chicken and Green wine. Delicious!  HIGHLY recommend.

Vera was our guide on the all-inclusive tuk-tuk trip to Sintra and Cascais. I cannot say enough about this experience. Transportation to the meeting site was seamless. Vera met us and we were off. Daniel set us up with Catarina, and wow she was phenomenal! We’ve done tours all around the world, and she was quite literally our favorite guide we’ve ever had!! It felt as though family was showing us around their city. Her vast knowledge was astounding and she seemed to know exactly what we’d want to see or learn more about. If you are looking for a fun way to tour Sintra or the surrounding areas - do not hesitate to book with Daniel Ponce! Our family of six adults spent 2.5 hours with him last week, touring Sintra - and it was one of the the highlights of our trip! Daniel is so friendly, and FUN and was so knowledgeable! We learned so much about the area during the tour, and he went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves, even bringing us treats from the area because the store that we would have stopped at was closed! My (adult) kids are still talking about it. Plus, he went above and beyond helping me with train information, weather information and so much more. I was actually on the verge of canceling the tour because of the fires and the castles are being closed. Having Pedro Lopez as the tour guide that guy went above and beyond that I didn’t even care that we didn’t get to see inside the castle. The guy made it fun, the kids loved it, which are 17 and twins that are 14 years old and they actually miss Pedro. I went to the store bought us blankets. Our full-day private Sintra tour with YES, You Deserve Tours ended up being one of the highlights of our Portugal trip. The morning started off chaotic with Bolt cancellations, traffic from an accident and us running late to our meeting point, but Daniel handled everything with such calm, grace and flexibility that the entire energy of the day shifted the moment we met him. Sintra is beautiful but those hills are no joke, especially for a full-day tour. Daniel customized the day around our comfort level, adjusted routes to avoid unnecessary climbing and navigated crowds/timing seamlessly. He even helped me during part of the Moorish Castle climb when Sintra humbled me quickly LOL. Windy, steep and definitely humbled me quickly. Quinta da Regaleira and the Initiation Well were magical and Daniel’s storytelling made the history come alive without ever feeling rehearsed. We also visited Pena Palace (exterior), Cabo da Roca and Azenhas do Mar, all absolutely stunning. Lunch at Somos um Regalo was hands down the best meal we’ve had since arriving in Portugal. The grilled chicken was delicious, portions were huge and everything from the tomatoes and onions to the rice, fries, homemade apple pie and wine was simple, fresh and flavorful. Exactly the kind of authentic local spot we never would have found on our own. By the end of the day my husband looked at me and said, “Okay…THIS made the trip worth it.” Highly recommend YES, You Deserve Tours and especially Daniel for anyone visiting Sintra.

Absolutely fabulous day in Sintra. Our tour was well organised and catered to our needs and interests very well. Daniel is a wonderful, genuine guy as are all his other staff and contacts we've engaged with in any way. The tul tuk tour of Sintra was fun and we learned a lot about the sites we visited and more.
