I was a little taken aback with price 700 euro for 3 of us on a private all day NON inclusive tour, except tickets for Quinta do Regaleira. Walked through Sintra, stopped at a bakery while our guide filled us in on local history. Regaleira was amazing and our guide made the tour memorable with his research based opinions. The only caveat was that we didn’t get to tour the gardens!! When I asked the guide why,  he said we didn’t have the time based on our itinerary, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement but I assumed that the itinerary would be awesome and make up for it- I was wrong, we ended up driving around his hometown which although attractive was really of no interest to us and we would’ve been much better served spending that time in the gardens instead- big disappointment. The next disappointment was the wine tasting in Colares, the owner was with other people so no knowledge from the owner for us and the wine itself was absolutely awful! Our guide told us that he must have pored us newer wines, we couldn’t drink them, they were that bad and still got charged an additional 24 euro per person for the wine tasting- not impressive. Was our guide knowledgeable? Absolutely! Was the 748 Euro worth it? For us the answer would be a No, particularly when we compare it to other guided trips we did while in Portugal.

We have done so many tours all over - Italy, Amsterdam, Hawaii, etc., and this was our favorite ever. We cannot believe how much we saw and experienced. Everything was so beautiful, and it was the perfect balance of walking/hiking and riding in the tuktuk. The wine tasting and lunch were delicious, and it was an awesome way to relax in the middle of our adventures! Vera was so knowledgable. Also, she was so kind, warm, and friendly. We talked the whole time about our lives, TV shows, music, etc. We have a new friend in Portugal now that we have Vera! I will always remember this day and Vera! Thank you so much!

Our tour guide Pedro was very informative, made sure we saw everything we needed to, made sure we had the best angle of photos and even took photos of us on his phone and shared with us at the end. The weather was really bad the morning of our Sintra tour and Pedro was equipped with a couple umbrellas and made sure our tour did not disappoint. He recommended a great vegetarian friendly restaurant to accommodate our groups dietary restrictions and even treated us to some local pastries. We really enjoyed spending the day with her showing us around. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 16-20. We did the full day tour with visits to Monserrate and Quinta da regaleira and ending in Cascais. We had delicious pastries and coffee in the am and again mid morning. Cláudia showed us around the old town as well. Lunch was delicious! Cláudia was also super knowledgeable about the gardens in Monserrate. She also took amazing pictures of us.  Verified Amazing family day with teens We had an amazing day with yes you deserve. We are a family of 5 with 3 children ages 16-20. We did a pick up from where were staying in Lisbon and ended in Cascais for dinner on our own with a ride back afterwards. Cláudia was awesome. She was so knowledgeable especially in regards to everything local and especially helpful with the gardens in Monserrate for which she had an incredible knowledge of the botanical gardens. As I was planning our family of four trip to Portugal I knew we wanted to visit the Sintra mountains with it’s beautiful gardens and palaces.   Do we do a self-tour with the buses and no guide or do we spend the day with someone who knows the area better than anyone else?   Do not spend the time thinking about this…reach out to Daniel Ponce @ Yes, You Deserve! Tuk Tuk Tour in Sintra by Daniel Ponce!!  It will be an experience that you will never forget. We worked with Daniel on the sites we wanted to see…Quinta de Regaleira, Monserrate Palace and Gardens, Cabo da Roca, fabulous views of Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle…just to name a few.  He had special spots and stops along the way via his Tuk Tuk, including an amazing lunch.  The day ended in Cascais, which was absolutely beautiful.   We never ever could have done this by ourselves.  He captured us in photo’s all along the tour as well.    I made the right decision by asking Daniel to be our guide. We had THE MOST amazing day with Daniel and Alisson! The three of us are new to Portugal and wanted to get local insight and custom while we saw Sintra and Cascais. What we didn’t expect was the laughter, the joy and even deep conversation! Our tour was at a comfortable pace, and included a phenomenal lunch at a family owned/run restaurant. Vera was our guide on the all-inclusive tuk-tuk trip to Sintra and Cascais. I cannot say enough about this experience. Transportation to the meeting site was seamless. Vera met us and we were off. We asked her 10,000 questions about everything. Everything. She was so knowledgeable and personable. It was the highlight of our trip. We will definitely do it again the next time we visit.

Yes! You also deserve a tour with these guides! We truly had a wonderful time in Sintra with Claudia and Pedro! They were so thoughtful, professional, and passionate about sharing the beauty and history of the area. We chose to tour just Quinta da Regaleira and Monseratte Palace--and loved both! But Monseratte was an extra special place to me. The gardens and atmosphere were so peaceful and the interior just gorgeous!

Had a wonderful tour with Pedro. Our choice included Monserrat and a scenic overlook. He was very informative through the tour of Monserrat sharing information about the different plants and trees as well as the carvings in the palace. It was a lovely day with Pedro.

Our tour of Sintra and the coast with Daniel was the highlight of our week in Portugal. It was well-worth the cost!  From the beginning of the day, meeting at a popular locals café to having lunch at an authentic Portuguese restaurant in a town outside of the tourist loop, Daniel showed us Portugal in a way we could not have otherwise experienced.  Riding through Sintra in the Tuk-Tuk allowed us to see more of the castles and estates there than we ever could have walked and saved us from parking nightmares at each location.  Daniel shared inside information about the sites that we would not have learned otherwise and new the best places to avoid crowds and take amazing photos.  We had already been to Nazare, but traveling the coast with Daniel allowed him to provide many insights into the culture and landscape we did not know.  In fact, we had been staying in Cascais for two days and when our tour ended there, Daniel showed us several places we had not yet found and recommended foods and additional walking paths we could explore.  Additionally, his personality and humor complimented his knowledge, insight, and organization.  The whole day was phenomenal and due to his tour and pre-planning we could relax and just enjoy our vacation.

Sintra..not to be missed if you’re in the Lisbon area. It’s not a secret, so that’s a great reason to have a knowledgeable tour guide to help maximize your time. Vitor Gaspar, with Yesyoudeserve tours, was a perfect fit for a recent visit my wife and I throughly enjoyed. His custom itinerary fit us perfectly. We were not able to traverse all the elevation changes due to health challenges and Vitor made a real effort to accommodate our needs. We were able to visit a lot of the sites and saw some really remarkable properties. This place is really magical! Don’t miss it.  Also, part of the trip included a visit to Cascais, a neat seaside village that begs you to stay and relax. That will be high on our list when we return some day. Our full-day private Sintra tour with YES, You Deserve Tours ended up being one of the highlights of our Portugal trip. The morning started off chaotic with Bolt cancellations, traffic from an accident and us running late to our meeting point, but Daniel handled everything with such calm, grace and flexibility that the entire energy of the day shifted the moment we met him. Sintra is beautiful but those hills are no joke, especially for a full-day tour. Daniel customized the day around our comfort level, adjusted routes to avoid unnecessary climbing and navigated crowds/timing seamlessly. He even helped me during part of the Moorish Castle climb when Sintra humbled me quickly LOL. Windy, steep and definitely humbled me quickly. Quinta da Regaleira and the Initiation Well were magical and Daniel’s storytelling made the history come alive without ever feeling rehearsed. We also visited Pena Palace (exterior), Cabo da Roca and Azenhas do Mar, all absolutely stunning. Lunch at Somos um Regalo was hands down the best meal we’ve had since arriving in Portugal. The grilled chicken was delicious, portions were huge and everything from the tomatoes and onions to the rice, fries, homemade apple pie and wine was simple, fresh and flavorful. Exactly the kind of authentic local spot we never would have found on our own. By the end of the day my husband looked at me and said, “Okay…THIS made the trip worth it.” Highly recommend YES, You Deserve Tours and especially Daniel for anyone visiting Sintra.

Sintra is magical, mysterious and extremely hard to navigate without guidance. Our tour guide Daniel Ponce was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. His tuk tuk was easy to hop on and off and he covered the history as he explained the various architectural styles and who built these amazing palaces, plus current occupancy. Since the crowds were low, he went into Pena Palace with us for an indepth explanation. He went way out of his way to explain the veggitation, natural and what was brought into Portugal. Palm fern trees from Australia! From castles to beaches, his knowledge about Portugal is intriguing and with emotion. He took many photos of us amidst the monuments and gave tons of recommendations beyond the tour throughout all of Portugal. Highly recommend reaching out to him as the Sintra website is difficult to navigate as is the city. But mostly because he cares! Ask him about the centuries old pastries and who has the best! We were a group of 10 girls in Portugal for a 40th birthday girls trip! This tour was planned a few weeks before we left the U.S. and our call with the Yes, You Deserve team made booking so seamless! Our group had to split into two tuk tuks so we had two tour guides, but we all came together at each stop.  We all fell in love with Gustavo and Catarina immediately! These two were a dynamic duo! So inviting, enthusiastic, warm, fun, and caring! They just really showed us an amazing time! They both went above and beyond to make sure we were fully immersed in the tour experience and even purchased a birthday cake for our birthday girl and sang to her in Portuguese at lunch! ❤️ we will forever cherish our time with on this trip and all of the amazing things we saw and people we met! Daniel Ponce was the most incredible tour guide. We met him in Sintra for a 3 1/2 hour history/palace tour. We visited all of the palaces from the outside, learned all about the history of each and the incredible phenomenon of the trees-Imported from all over the world there are: Fern Palms. Cork Oak,  multiple Palm varieties, Eucalyptus, Sycamore, Redwood and more!! Imported from Australia and all over the world during the monarchy reins because each King competed with the next King for who has the best garden (for garden rights?!) We saw large private estates/castles and their guest houses and drank from natural mineral fountains. Daniel took us to gorgeous places off the beaten path- we tasted exotic fruit called “ Medronho” plucked right from the tree and learned all about how Cork is harvested. Daniel even took us to a fabulous winery in COLARES-COLARES WINERY. We got a private tour of the Colares Winery and learned all about Sand Soil Wine and Clay Wine from Daniel! Tour ended with Daniel dropping us off at the most incredible restaurant overlooking the Ocean called “Azenhas do Mar, Nascidos e Criados”- NOT TO BE MISSED.   HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring Daniel for a full day tour- wish we did full day! Flexible, fun, knowledgeable! ( He is also a great photographer and has a super new and cool Tuk Tuk!) Wonderful experience from start to finish! Throughout the booking process the communication and information was very helpful. We did take advantage of a phone call with Daniel to plan our day and make decisions which was very helpful. Our guide for the day was Victor. He met us at the assign place on time (we got there early to enjoy breakfast as recommended). Victor was very informative and fun throughout the day. We had a great rapport with him and he took pictures for us as desired. The lunch by the sea was phenomenal. The way they understand the crowds by season and how to make the most of the day was so helpful. We chose to visit one monument inside and it was Quinta Da Regaleira - this was the most amazing choice! You see the photos online of the dramatic “well”, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. It is like no other place!! We also enjoyed a wine tasting at a small wine shop in Sintra where Carlos took us on a fun journey of several wines and ports. We have no complaints, only praise!! We thoroughly enjoyed our tuk tuk tour with Daniel Ponce in Sintra and Cascais.   He is knowledgeable, friendly, funny and flexible.  Our reservation for a castle happened to fall on a day they were closed but he quickly pivoted with options for us.  He took us to many view spots, castles, coast side, beaches and towns.  He has a broad knowledge of the area’s history and all the stories and a passion for what he does.  He's also an excellent photographer.  We highly recommend a tour with Daniel!🥰
