We had a great day on our private tuk tuk tour of Sintra. Our guide, Claudia, was from the area and gave us wonderful insight into town and its surroundings. She was fun and engaging as well as incredibly knowledgeable. From the booking process (all done on What’s App), to pick up, the all-day tour, and drop off, everything ran smoothly and we got to see a lot of the coast on our drive. A highlight of the day was stopping in a small town to experience an authentic Portuguese lunch at a family owned restaurant. We would never have chosen something like this on our own. The desserts were incredible!  The company provides so much detail in the booking process so you can tailor the experience for what you’d like to see. We had an amazing day with Daniel starting with his private driver picking us up at our hotel until our final farewell.  Daniel took us to many majestic locations from mountain tops to the seaside with wonderful storytelling along the way. He is very warm and engaging and made us feel welcome as new found friends!  We dined with the locals and enjoyed a very special lunch with some of the most delicious chicken we’ve encountered.  His tuktuk is first rate and very comfortable to ride in. AMAZING DAY❣️ I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, but my parent moved to Canada when I was 8 and over the years I have not come here very often. Yesterday I learned more about the history, the meaning behind certain thing, the love, compassion and romance of Portugal. This one day AMAZING beyond my expectations🇵🇹 We did a tour with Daniel Ponce. He truly, in one marvellous day has given a new understanding of what this country is and made me even more proud about my country of birth and my heritage. He is extremely knowledgeable, explaining everything. Showing you every little tiny details, that many will not notice or even know to look for. He is funny and quick to see what interest you, which then changes the path he takes you on through out the day. On top of that he is an amazing photographer and took beautiful pictures of my husband and I. This truly was a magical Day in a Fairytale place. Amazing tour! I spent a lot of time researching Sintra tour companies and had actually booked a different tour before discovering Yes, You Deserve Tours. After reading so many great reviews, I decided to cancel my original booking and splurge on their all-inclusive full-day tour. It was more expensive, but it was absolutely worth every penny and the best decision I made for this family vacation. We were lucky to have Daniel as our guide, and he was phenomenal. Daniel planned the day perfectly to have minimal crowds, took us for delicious pastries and an incredible local lunch (the chicken was amazing!), where we were the only English speaking customers (my favorite kind of restaurant when traveling!) and handled every ticket and reservation so we never had to think about logistics. Since everything was included, I didn’t have to worry about paying for anything or thinking of logistics, which was such a relief and relaxing-making it feel like vacation. One of the highlights was that Daniel took over 100 beautiful photos of our family throughout the day and shared all of them with us afterward. It allowed us to be fully present while still coming home with incredible memories. He was also SO knowledgeable and kept my kids engaged throughout the whole day. He shared so many details about history we would’ve never known without him as our guide. When we decided we wanted to shorten our time in Sintra, Daniel happily adjusted the itinerary at the last minute. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. If you’re debating whether the all-inclusive tour is worth the extra cost, it absolutely is. Thank you, Daniel and Yes, You Deserve, for an unforgettable experience! We had the BEST day with Daniel Ponce. Cannot recommend him enough. Good company, great historical knowledge. We had a great tour of Pena as well as visits to other palaces, a special lunch in a small town and wine tasting in Colares. I don’t think I’ve ever been on a tour where I genuinely didn’t want it to end. Exploring Sintra and Cascais with Daniel was one of the highlights of our trip. Nothing felt rushed or overly touristy — it felt personal, thoughtful, and perfectly paced. Our tour involved Quinta de Regaleira and Monserrate Palace with the most delicious local lunch. PICK THE CHICKEN OPTION 😊 What truly made the experience unforgettable was Daniel himself. His knowledge, attention to detail, charisma, and patience (especially with my mom) were beyond anything we could have hoped for in a guide. He made every stop feel special and every moment enjoyable If you’re looking for a tour that feels authentic, effortless, and memorable, this is it. I've been lucky enough to travel to many countries and have had many really good guides - both private and group tours. However, I have never ever had a guide as GREAT as Daniel!! You expect that guides will be knowledgeable and that they enjoy their job but Daniel takes that to a whole different level!  Not only is he a wealth of information, he absolutely loves his country and his culture and wants to share as much as possible with you while you're on his tour. On top of that, his enthusiasm, his humor and his sheer joy in doing so makes the experience incredible! We spent almost nine hours with Daniel in Sintra and could have easily spent  nine more!  As an added bonus,  Daniel is a great photographer and will take lots of pics along the tour to capture all the best sites - they'll certainly be some of the best pics you get of your tour! What an experience ! The beauty, and the history was perfect on this full day tour with Vera! Vera was so knowledgeable, funny, and we felt like we were with family. We had a phenomenal day with Pedro! The car pick-up from our hotel was on time (early actually). We followed-up their Yes, You Deserve!’s recommendation to get breakfast at Casa do Preto which was fantastic as well. Pedro took us around to Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira in the tuk-tuk. He really made sure that we were comfortable and the day was enjoyable throughout. He provided blankets when needed in the cooler part of the mountain, waters, and even had a surprise phone charger available when my phone ran low on battery from taking photos all day. My wife and I had my 7-year old son with us and 70-year old parents, and Pedro was extra accommodating making sure the walking point were more walkable for us. He totally went at our pace with no rushing (however it was clear he was managing our time throughout the day). The stops at Pena and Quinta far exceeded all of our expectations. Pedro’s knowledge of the places, story telling and ability to point out the details really made the history and magic come alive. He knew all the best spots and times to grab photos so we were able to get many family photos in (without having to do a bunch of selfies). We went on a Sunday, which made some of the stops have some more traffic than say, a Wednesday, but Pedro navigated all of it without us having to worry about a thing. The Portuguese restaurant was incredible. Highly recommend the grilled octopus. Coming down the coast to Cascais was very relaxing and Pedro really allowed to enjoy each of the stops will providing fun facts with fit in seamlessly with our casual conversation. As I was planning our family of four trip to Portugal I knew we wanted to visit the Sintra mountains with it’s beautiful gardens and palaces.   Do we do a self-tour with the buses and no guide or do we spend the day with someone who knows the area better than anyone else?   Do not spend the time thinking about this…reach out to Daniel Ponce @ Yes, You Deserve! Tuk Tuk Tour in Sintra by Daniel Ponce!!  It will be an experience that you will never forget. We worked with Daniel on the sites we wanted to see…Quinta de Regaleira, Monserrate Palace and Gardens, Cabo da Roca, fabulous views of Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle…just to name a few.  He had special spots and stops along the way via his Tuk Tuk, including an amazing lunch.  The day ended in Cascais, which was absolutely beautiful.   We never ever could have done this by ourselves.  He captured us in photo’s all along the tour as well.    I made the right decision by asking Daniel to be our guide. My husband and I had a flawless experience from start to finish, from Daniel sending detailed videos/ questionnaires and information to tailor the experience. We are so beyond grateful we hired a private tuk tuk and we were blown away with our driver Leo, he was so incredible, so knowledgeable of all the history, personal, fun and so kind! We would not have had the same experience doing it on our own. Sintra is very spread out and we wouldn’t have know where to start and never would have learned all the history that was shared. Thank you, Daniel Ponce, for leading our family through the Sintra region with incredible guided tours of Pena Palace, Monserrate, the Sanctuary of Peninha and the road to Cascais.
